First trip to the zoo!

This weekend was our very first trip to the local zoo, and it wore all of us out! Gavin and Jared took the best nap on Saturday (and so did David...) We had a great time, but it was really hot and a lot of walking so we didn't get to stay as long as we hoped. Our next trip will have to be in the fall so we don't get burned again! On Sunday we went to a really great park in Evansville, but got lost on the way there so once again it was a short trip! All in all we had a great weekend, enjoying the sunny weather. Which is good because it's going to rain ALL week long!

Summer is here!

Haven't updated in awhile, we've been pretty busy, especially now that Jared is getting pretty quick! Gavin picked out his outfit today, and he did a pretty good job I have to say. I would take a picture, but somehow I lost the memory card to our camera! I think we're going to the zoo this weekend, if David doesn't have to work or anything. I think Gavin will really like it. He is now saying "nose" "eyes" "teeth" "tree". He's really into Toy Story, so we got him a Buzz Lightyear and a Woody doll. He calls Buzz "Bose" and Woody "cuz". His favorite part is when Buzz flies around and then points and says "can!" Gavin now runs around saying "can! can! can!"Today is our first 80 degree day, so I think summer is officially here for us! We've been grilling out a lot lately, and are just enjoying the time outdoors. I know the boys are loving it. The pictures are from the portraits we got taken a few weeks ago, they look so cute!!

Ok well, no pics to post this time. David took the camera with him to Danielle's house this weekend, and he's still not back! The car died while he was there and he had to buy a whole new car! I guess I'm pretty excited, but it's been tough without Dave here. I think it really started to get to Gavin by this afternoon, he just threw the BIGGEST fit and nothing I did could soothe him. Winnie the Pooh and strawberry milk finally did the trick! Jared is crawling on his knees now and really getting around. He's starting to pull himself up on things which I was not ready for at all. I have to re-baby proof the house, I got used to having an older baby who knows the word "no!". Both boys were pretty good this weekend, especially for not having their Daddy. Hopefully he'll be back early tomorrow, Gavin will be so happy!

Spring is here!

Well, I haven't posted in awhile so here it is! We've been happy lately and time always flies when you're having fun. The weather is starting to get really nice and we're all enjoying the fresh air. We even got the stroller out a few days ago! David is goint to see Danielle this weekend so it's just me and the boys for a few days. I'm actually looking forward to it! They've been getting along so great lately. Jared has started sitting up by himself and can basically get anywhere he wants by crawling/wiggling. Gavin is loving having a little buddy following him and is constantly giving him toys. Gavin loves saying "hi!" to the baby, and of course Jared is more than happy to have his big brother pay attention to him! The last picture is from Gavin sharing his cookie with Jared, which was sweet but messy! I'm glad Gavin likes including Jared in what he's doing. They've also started taking baths together which is making our lives so much easier. All in all it's looking like a great start to a GREAT summer!

And we're off!

Gavin is sick today, and I'm not feeling that great either so another day lying around the house for us! The weather is starting to get better now, and I'm dying for some fresh air. Jared is inch worming across the floor now. He hasn't quite mastered crawling on his knees for more than a second, but that doesn't stop him from getting around! He is also getting his first two teeth, exciting! Gavin asked me for some juice and voluntarily took a nap, so I know he's not feeling so hot. He's starting to talk so much now, but a lot of it is lost in babytalk/english translation. I'm figuring it out though!

Well, another Friday! Gavin is in a bad mood today it seems, every little thing sets off a huge meltdown. I had to wash his blanket today, and boy, that was a fit like none other. The weather is beautiful today, and it's supposed to be even nicer tomorrow! Today Gavin picked his own shirt out, it's got a skateboarder on it. He seemed happy when he put it on, very proud. He got new pajamas yesterday and he couldn't be happier in them! My mom is coming tomorrow morning!!

Just another manic Wednesday

Ok, half way through the week! My mom is coming in a few days and I'm excited! Gavin is lying on the couch watching sesame street, and both David and Jared are sleeping. That's right, David's sick again! I hope he is better by the weekend, it's supposed to be nice out and I want to go to the park!

Yesterday Gavin and I had an appointment at the Heath Department and 8 in the morning. He had so much fun running back and forth across the whole building, and he looked so cute in his new sweater! I'm glad he got to wear it once before spring comes. We saw Olivia there and said hello, she's coming to see us today. All the running must've worn Gavin out because he took a really long nap that afternoon!
