Ok, well... We're almost there! I can feel the weekend already, and there's only a few more hours between us and the finish line. David will be home at five (cross fingers) tonight and this weekend I can get the house clean before my mom comes to visit. The boys have been really good and I'm so thankful. It's almost nap time, Gavin is eating his lunch for once and it's actually something healthy! I guess I've figured out if I don't put jelly in his sandwich he'll eat it, but whatever gets him to eat! I swear all the kid wants is strawberry milk and hotdogs. That is unless his Daddy is eating it, and then he'll eat just about anything. Still won't eat bananas though. Jared is the exact opposite! I've yet to find something he doesn't like, which is great! I've given him strawberries and corn (in baby food of course) and no reaction to either so I think we can rule out allergies. I was concerned because of his eczema, but I guess it's ok! Well, the bean is starting to cry so I think I will put him down early and hang with Gavin!

When the weekend seems so far away....
David will be gone all day today, so I'm getting a taste of single-motherhood! Well, not really because he's still working and paying for everything, but still! Gavin is being a pill today, I think he might not feel so great, he's been kind of lazy which is soooo unlike him! It's almost 70 degrees today, but there's a huge thunderstorm looming in the distance, and the winds are getting intense! Both boys are sleeping little angels right now, and I'm trying to get some things done around the house, or I would be if it wasn't for this blog! Hopefully David will have this weekend off after working until the wee hours of the morning and we'll all get to have some fun.

It' that time of year again...
Today begins inventory at David's work, so he will be gone most of the time until Sunday. Both boys really love their Daddy (and so do I) so this will be rough for everyone! We got an aquarium which Gavin is fascinated with, he now says the word fish, but it sounds more like "fee". Everything is a "fee" now. We looked through a book, and one day at every picture Gavin would ask "Is this a pie?", the next day it was "Is this a ball?" and now it's always "Is this a fish?" which sounds like "isdisfee?" or "afee?". We're having a good day so far, and tomorrow is supposed to be a warm thunderstorm, my favorite! :) Hopefully the rest of the week won't be too stressful, and inventory will be over for another year!

TGIF!
Today is a lazy day for me, I really did not want to get out of bed this morning... but someone was banging on the wall! Both boys have been good today, Gavin worked out with me this morning. Well, his version anyway, which is just stomping really fast, or making me carry him. He thinks me trying to do aerobics while holding him is hilarious, but boy is he heavy! At least he's giving me some strength training. Jared is still just on the verge of crawling, and I know it's got to be frustrating for him, he's just so darn wiggly! They have been playing together today, and Jared is in heaven, he loves his big brother. This morning I said to Gavin "Can you stop causing trouble" to which he nodded his head for a second, gave me a weird look, and shook his head "no" violently. Too true! He's into everything all the time! Everything, but all the toys laying around for him. Daddy is coming home soon, the boys will wake up from their nap and the weekend will begin! I'm excited!

Here we go!
Ok. I'm not sure how to start off, but I was inspired by other mamas to blog what's going on with my two little monkeys. Gavin is currently running around naked, we're in the beginning stages of potty training. One accident so far today, one ruined pair of underwear, and three attempts to sit on the potty! Jared is sleeping after haven gotten up so early so it's pretty quiet. The Daddy is sleeping as well he took the last two days off work because he's really sick. Thank God the boys are still well! It should be a good day today, who can't be happy with a naked toddler running around??
